The second issue is more serious. Camino lacks RSS support, and therefore hands off such requests to another application, such as Safari or Firefox.

That dog ain't gonna hunt.

The whole object of the exercise was to find one browser that can do everything I need.

That leaves Opera.

I might be able to get used to Opera's look and feel, the bookmark manager seems OK, you can rearrange tabs and drag them between windows, and there seems to be adequate AppleScript support for my purposes (though I couldn't open the application's dictionary in Script Editor).

But once again, there's no RSS support, and Opera has the same incompatibility with iTWire's software that stops me using Safari.

So it looks like I'm stuck with using two browsers: Safari for most tasks, and Firefox or Camino for adding articles to iTWire.

If I'm really lucky, maybe the Safari incompatibility will be fixed by Apple or the developer of the other piece of software. But I'm not holding my breath.
