| Sybiz adds up for SMEs in downturn |

Gloomy economic forecasts are proving to be good news for Australian
business systems company, Sybiz which has had one of it strongest
quarters this decade, having closed no fewer than 20 sales since
September of this year.
The company's new customers represent a broad spread of industries, including professional services, manufacturing, FMCG and oil & gas exploration. Managing Director, Peter Whalley comments that the sales upturn is commensurate with Sybiz's experience that smart businesses prepare for challenging economic conditions by implementing robust business systems. "In 30 years of providing accounting, payroll, HR and management platforms to business, Sybiz tends to experience its strongest sales cycles as businesses gear up for tough times," says Mr Whalley. "The reasons for this trend are varied: but in brief, it seems that business owners don't want to get in the way of the momentum of boom times. But the prospect of leaner times forces many to act on the realisation that they need better insights into their business performance, profitability and cash-flow. "This is especially the case for the one-in-10 SMEs who are outgrowing their entry-level platforms, and who urgently need Sybiz' accurate, powerful reporting, detailed analysis and robust business intelligence capabilities. And, as a proudly Australasian company, we can also sustain personal relationships with our customers, through which to learn their pain points and help them use Sybiz to cut costs and optimise profitability. Mr Whalley comments that feedback from new customers is that their reasons for choosing Sybiz include: • Ability to integrate existing systems (three separate companies - including two medical products and one HR firm - referenced this feature) • Greater reporting ability - including drawing on Sybiz' incorporated BI capabilities that drill down into cashflow, trends and profit drivers (this was a key criteria for 25 percent of the new customers, who specifically referenced their dissatisfaction with an existing system as their reason for changing to Sybiz) • High levels of local support - (a key feature for most of Sybiz' new customers) • Pricing certainty and value for money (a key feature for most customers, with one customer, an electrical services firm, tying Sybiz to price increases that are "no greater than CPI" for the next few years). "Of course, we would rather the boom times continue," comments Mr Whalley. "But given the prospect of tough times, I urge SMEs - and those partnering with or advising SMEs - to consider a better business system as a foundation that will help them weather any storms and emerge even stronger in the years ahead," he concludes. |
