Nyberg and her team studied the health records of 3,122 Swedish men between the ages of 19 and 70 years of age. Women were not studied in this research. The medical records of these men were analyzed with respect to heart disease and general illnesses. Their hearts were checked between the years 1992 and 1995, and follow-up data was collected through 2002. Nyberg’s team found that bosses who were deemed the most competent by their employees caused those employees to have the lowest risk from developing heart disease. What about the bad bosses?
