Certainly, when three quarters of a million Brits admit to chatting on their mobiles during sex you can bet that there are plenty of people taking snaps as well. One woman from Arkansas in the US could not resist using her mobile phone to take a few saucy snaps and sending them to her husband. Unfortunately, the forgetful Phillip Sherman left his phone, complete with nude photos, in a local McDonalds after grabbing a burger. Realising his mistake, Mr Sherman claims he contacted the burger shop and staff promised to hang on to the handset and keep it secure until he went back to get it. His wife claims she started getting offensive calls and text messages about the photos, and then discovered they had been posted online along with her name, address and telephone number. Now the Shermans are suing McDonalds, the local franchise and the store manager for USD $3 million in damages. This is to cover the emotional distress, embarrassment and damaged reputation as well as loss of earnings and the costs involved in moving to a new home. Perhaps they should have something docked from any payout for being naive and not password protecting the handset considering the nature of the photos upon it. Meanwhile, I am saddened that it was McDonalds and not Burger King involved in all of this as it prevents me from threading mention of double whoppers into the story - or maybe not... |
