A new online diagnostic tool offered by Fujitsu helps its clients move towards environmental sustainability.

Fujitsu has been working on its own sustainability for some time, and the tool is one way of sharing the expertise it has developed.

"While many organisations have expressed a desire to advance the environmental agenda, they often don't know how to translate that into action and deliver sustainable Green initiatives," said Alison O'Flynn, head of sustainability at Fujitsu Australia.

"This online tool allows our customers to assess either their IT department or the entire enterprise to determine the areas of greatest potential growth and improvement."

The questionnaire-based tool elicits the organisation's current position to provide a baseline, and helps relate that to chosen environmental strategies.

The tool takes an end-to-end perspective from strategy and procurement to efficiency and waste disposal.

"This new offering is designed to equip enterprises and IT departments with the strategies and tools to make a tangible contribution to the organisation's corporate sustainability goals and open up a range of new possibilities that go beyond cost savings," added O'Flynn.
