Need to boost your Xbox 360 Hard Drive capacity prior to the launch of the new Xbox LIVE experience later this month. Microsoft have released a 60GB upgrade package to entice those feeling a little crammed. But there is one major omission. On November 19th Microsoft launch the new Xbox LIVE experience. The new Xbox 360 interface promises 3D avatars and (for some lucky parts of the world) a Netflix movie streaming service amongst other enhancements. Of course, with added functionality comes the need for added capacity. If you, like many, are working with an Xbox 360 Hard Drive of 20GB or smaller (as in zero) then it might be time to consider an upgrade. Available from now is the Xbox 360 60GB Starter Pack. Retailing for AU$149.95, the Starter Pack consists of a 60GB Hard Drive, a Xbox 360 Headset a three-month Gold subscription to Xbox LIVE and a ethernet cable. Importantly for current HDD owners however is the lack of any mention of the data transfer kit as part of the pack. This Starter Kit is obviously aimed at purchasers of the recently pushed Xbox 360 Arcade, the Xbox 360 model without hard drive. For those wanting to migrate from a 20GB system to a shiny fresh 60GB world of freedom, then it is time to track down a Data Migration Kit. You could try here , or simply say bye-bye to your old on-line self, and start again |
