Page 1 of 2 Olivier has been tracking jobs across professional sectors, including IT&T, on the major Internet jobs boards for a number of years and the latest figuresshow little cause for comfort. The jobs decline is accelerating at a frightening pace, with the last three months proving to be the worst quarter by far in the past year. The IT&T jobs sector fell 2.28% in October and is down 23% over 12 months. What's more the IT&T sector has been in decline for all of 2008. A spokesman for Olivier Group said the latest figures for the IT&T jobs sector showed that there was a quickening in the decline. Of the 23% decline over the past 12 months, 20% has been in the past six months and 13% has been in the past 3 months. "The rate of the decline has been increasing and the (downward) curve is getting steeper," the spokesman said. CONTINUED Page 2 |
