Having furiously removed some offending issues with the puzzle platformer LittleBigPlanet, Sony have confirmed the games new release date.

By now we should all be jauntily bopping around LittleBigPlanet, with smiles on our faces and only vaguely tuned into the background music of the game.

But as we found out late last week, the background music has thrown up an issue requiring Sony to recall all of the pressed, ready to sell LBP discs, and delay the launch date of the expected blockbusting game.

Sony saw the recall as the safe way out of a possible situation that may have enflamed a religious based backlash against the game and companies involved.  Whether this was a correct decision or not is debatable, but it is done now.

Sony Entertainment last night confirmed the new launch date of November 7th for  the Australian and New Zealand regions.

They have also confirmed that...” from the date of release of the game, consumers will receive a copy of LittleBigPlanet with every PLAYSTATION 3 console purchase.”

So from early November there should be no way to avoid Sackboy and his adventures, in a title that has been described as a game about making a game.
