In number 3 spot is the BlackBerry RIM OS with an 11% market share, the ageing Palm OS is number 4 with 6%, the iPhone comes in at number 5 with a 4% share, and the Danger Hiptop OS comes in last spot with a 2% share. While the iPhone has made stunning moves in a little more than a year, it still faces strong competition from the entrenched players, promising plenty more smartphone fireworks for us all in the years ahead. |
