F-Secure’s Online Backup service offers ease of use through smart automation of the backup, an unlimited backup capacity for the user’s valuable content files, and with no need for additional devices on the consumer side. The F-Secure service stores the files online in secure data centres. F-Secure, the leader in providing security as a service through ISPs and mobile operators, has already signed on several ISPs which offer the service to their customers. For ISPs the new service presents another opportunity to serve their customers better and to grow their Value Added Services revenues. “Online backup is important. Consumers are realising that they are accumulating a large amount of irreplaceable digital assets, like photos or personal projects, and that an easy method for protecting this content is needed. With the increasing amount of valuable digital content consumers have today, for instance in the form of digital photos, F-Secure believes the new service is a valuable and relevant addition to the service offering of ISPs. Meeting end-user needs, including ease-of-use and an unlimited back-up capacity, has been one of the key design criteria for the service.
