How good does The Conduit look for the Wii? E-mail

A video that shows the entire first level of The Conduit, the game produced by the team at High Voltage.  The Quantam 3 engine looks to be coming along nicely, The Conduit should fulfil the need of many a Wii owner to have an action game that rivals the Sony and Microsoft peer platforms.

The team at High Voltage don’t see why a good looking first person shooter game needs to sit on the PC, PS3 or Xbox 360 platforms only.  Why can’t the Wii be capable of churning out such a game.

Armed with their Quantam 3 engine, they have been hard at work on The Conduit.
The Conduit is a rather derivative first person shooter, full of the corridors, somewhat shaky looking  enemy AI, some rather odd looking cobwebs and an intrusive goal marker.  But in a lot of ways it is a tech demo game only.

As you can see from the (IGN sourced) video below however, the game-play itself is coming along nicely.  There is much still to be done in  – what is now, a Nintendo first party project – but the potential is there.

It will be good to have another, more adult orientated shooter to add to the Wii stable of titles
