Page 1 of 2 From his taunting of John Lamer McCain over a self-confessed computer illiteracy, through being hailed as the Chief Twit on Twitter, Obama 2.0 has been a vocal supporter of new technology. There really cannot be any doubt that when it comes to the Internet, for example, Obama has already won that particular battle with his usage of Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and the web to raise money and motivate an electorate. Now, in an innovative twist, Obama is moving his campaign onto the iPhone with the Obama '08 application. The iPhone software is being touted as a "comprehensive connection to the heart of Barack Obama and Joe Biden's campaign" which gives the user "instant access to Barack's positions on important issues, as well as local and national campaign news as it happens." But this is more than just another Obama hype fest, this software does some clever things which are designed to motivate supporters into doing more and helping drive votes towards the Democratic candidate come November 4th. This is Obama 2.0 doing what he does best and exploiting any given IT opportunity in order to carve a bigger percentage of the politcal supporter pie than John McCain.
