 Grouputer Solutions has announced the introduction of SigmaSense the first online collaborative solution for Six Sigma project deployment and training.SigmaSense equips face-face and distributed project teams with structured tools, techniques and guidance to implement the five phases of the DMAIC methodology used by teams in Six Sigma projects. Virtual team members no longer need to travel, nor lose valuable time managing projects with serial email and audio conferences. In today business environment collaboration is viewed as a key factor in improving enterprise-wide performance and innovation by improving the way individuals, both internal and external, work together. The program aims to eliminate the most cited reasons for project failure including lack of internal skills to implement programs, long project cycle times, extended training required to gain proficiency and the lack of a structured computer based methodology to guide delivery of the complex, team-driven Six Sigma process. A critical component of Six Sigma projects is the team’s ability to analyze situations, synthesize information, evaluate alternatives, and make decisions, with the objective of finding the highest quality solution to a problem in the shortest time. SigmaSense’s automation of the DMAIC methodology enables Green Belts to quickly become confident and competent Project Leaders. Integration with Outlook enables easy emailing of invitations to attendees. While synchronous, real time meetings enable fast decision making, participants are also able to connect to meetings in their own time and place. The program accelerates the training of Black and Green Belts through its learning-by-doing approach.
