Check Point Software Technologies has expanded its Australian and New Zealand team with appointments to new roles: Jamie Stafford as business manager - carrier and ISP and Belinda Falk as channel coordinator.

Both roles are Sydney based but carry responsibility for Australia and New Zealand. According to Scott McKinnel, country manager Australia and New Zealand, the appointments are "part of a planned approach to building on market opportunities...Jamie will play a key role in addressing the burgeoning opportunities for managed security services in the service provider and carrier markets and Belinda will ensure that day to day business processes involving our partners continue to enhance the value of our partner program."

Stafford was previously manager market development for Telecom New Zealand International, based in Wellington. Prior to that he spent three years with the Datacom Group in New Zealand where he was account director, Telco and ISP. Falk joins Check Point after four years at RSA Security where she most recently held the position of channel coordinator.

Check Point sells exclusively through channels, primarily LAN Systems, Express Data, Dovetail and Firewall Systems.
