Although they suggest that Apple "might want to rethink their priorities" the Dev Team admit this is unlikely, and to be honest I think they would be disappointed if Steve Jobs surrendered and called it a day on the cat and mouse pwnage games.

And so we get the speedy release of the new versions of PwnageTool and QuickPwn that support the 2.1 firmware, with "iTunes not harmed in the process" although just for Macs for now, and only available via BitTorrent to start with as well.

"We’ve released using BitTorrent to lighten the load of the initial downloads, then we’ll add a direct link and Sparkle update when we can. If you don’t know how to use BitTorrent, then hold off for a while" the Dev Team says.

One device which has not been so speedily pwned, and so is excluded from the fun for the time being, is the new iTouch 2G.  Mind you, the iPhone Dev Team have a pretty good reason as to why they have not managed to crack this particular product:

"Because none of us even have one yet" it admits
