External volume controls and, to a lesser extent, built-in speakers, were high on the list of changes that consumers wanted to see in the iPod Touch, and by golly, they got what they wanted. It’s easy to predict the iPod Touch will become more popular than ever before, with Apple due to roll out a 64GB model at some stage, especially as the price of flash memory keeps on declining. Oh, and that oft-predicted 32GB iPhone, too. So, iPod upgrade fatigue? Well, we’ll have to see the post Christmas sales figures to know for certain, but I highly doubt it. I think we’d see lipstick on a flying pig first! |
