Micromine appoints Peter Rossdeutscher as CEO E-mail

Micromine, the leading provider of productivity software and services to the mining industry, announced today the appointment of Peter Rossdeutscher to the newly created role of Chief Executive Officer. He assumes responsibility for extending Micromine’s leadership position, as well as strengthening relationships with clients, employees and industry partners. Micromine’s founder, Graeme Tuder, will continue as Managing Director.
Rossdeutscher has a wealth of local and international experience in senior leadership roles at leading technology companies. He was most recently Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Head of the Global Alliance Division of IT peripherals company Targus Inc. During his tenure, sales more than doubled and service levels improved to world class. Other executive management positions he has held include seven years heading IT giant Gateway Inc. in Asia, where he led 240 employees across 14 countries.  Mr Rossdeutscher also served as former CEO of $420 million industrial firm, Arena Asia.

His education includes a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and a Masters degree in Marketing, both awarded by the Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia. In addition, he has served as an Avionics Technician in the Royal Australian Air Force.

Micromine’s founder, Graeme Tuder, explains the new direction in management. “The company has grown exponentially over the past three years and has an aggressive growth strategy for the future. The new position of CEO is essential to achieve our growth ambitions and Mr Rossdeutscher’s experience and proven leadership abilities make an excellent fit for the role.”
