Whether this will placate the fans, and remember they are mainly teenage girls, remains to be seen. Still, I am sure that they will be happy in the knowledge that Meyer hopes the whole experience will "at least leave my fans with a better understanding of copyright and the importance of artistic control." Certainly the news has kicked off something of a hormone-fuelled comment storm at the various Twilgiht fan sites around the Web. I thought that the book, Edward, and all of us fans meant more to us than a bruised ego." Somehow I suspect that love_bites might have hit the stake in the heart when writing "I hope “indefinitely” isn’t as long as a vampire’s lifetime but rather a couple of months!" |
