Page 2 of 2 Quilty continued that:“Telstra is puzzled by Mr Billson's reported comments, given that this morning the Office of the Leader of the Opposition confirmed that structural separation of Telstra is explicitly not Coalition policy. “Telstra is not and will not be a political play thing”, concluded Quilty, likely not in a very playful mood. Of course, the Federal Government still owns sub-20% shareholding of Telstra via the Future Fund, so one would imagine that as a minority shareholder it might still have some kind of say. Personally, I just look forward to the day when the brouhaha turns into broadband. That day still seems far, far away.
