The entire iPod range revamped, a new 'stick' iPod, lower prices and of course iTunes 8: all are likely to see the light of day on September 9th. But what about the new MacBook?

Kevin Rose is best known for being the founder and site-architect of social news service Digg. But Rose is also becoming almost as well known for getting the inside edge on forthcoming Apple product launches.

So when he video blogged about a bunch of rumours concerning new iPods which he claimed were 'coming very soon' the online world took notice.

Who could ignore him, considering tight at the top of the blog entry was a typically grainy photo of what could the new iPod Nano 'Zune' as it has been christened by the media?

Amongst the things that Rose suggested were on the Apple list for an imminent launch was a revamp of the entire iPod range. Everything.

OK, so Rose admitted that as far as the iPod Touch was concerned this was likely to be just 'small cosmetic changes' rather than anything major.

But he maintains that everything will get a significant price cut in order to put some distance between the iPod and the iPhone in terms of market positioning.

There were two things that Rose mentioned which have caused plenty of ears to perk up: the redesign of the stick iPod in the form of the rumoured iPod Nano Zune and the appearance of iTunes 8.

Both could just be good guesses, of course, but Rose has an impressive track record of guessing right if he does not have some insider source.

Certainly the new Nano is not a new rumour, there have been plenty of images floating around various Chinese websites which tend to reveal this kind of stuff nice and early. Images of cases which suggest that the stick Nano is going to be a reality.

But what of iTunes 8 and the much speculated about new MacBook? Find out on page 2...
