Billing and customer software provider Gentrack has appointed Leigh Warren to its board of directors.

"Leigh will be instrumental to the overall strategic direction of the Gentrack business," said CEO James Docking.

"He joins a growing list of prominent local industry leaders who have joined the Gentrack business, including John Clifford from world leading metering business Landis+Gyr, and Cesare Tizi the former CIO of AGL. Together, we will be driving the Gentrack team to win business in the utility industry against our much larger US and European-based competitors."

Warren has previously served on the board of Oracle in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, and has held various senior executive positions at companies including SAP, Tandem and Oracle.

He is chairman and CEO of his own consulting company, and is on the boards of three companies.
