Vodafone screws users over call costs, senior executive stabbed to death E-mail

Of course, while customers are busy getting screwed, Vodafone is busy spinning the announcement as somehow being a good thing for consumers. It reckons that its customers should be happy in the knowledge that they are enjoying better value for money than ever.

Amazingly, this appears to be being done with an entirely straight face. A spokesperson for Vodafone reckons that because they "increased the number of minutes and texts" customers get bundled into their contracts in May, and added Internet access into them for good measure, that they really have nothing to complain about.

Vodafone has a slogan of 'make the most of now' which seems to apply pretty nicely to whatever period is left on a pay monthly contract. As a Vodafone customer myself, I will certainly be making the most of other network operators deals when the time comes to renew.

On a sadder note, it has been revealed that Sally Sinclair, the 40 year old head of business analysis at Vodafone UK, has been found stabbed to death at her UKP £1 million home over the weekend.

A 47 year old local man has been arrested and is, as they say, helping the police with their inquiries.

The cause of death has been established as 'multiple stab wounds to the upper torso' and the body was found in a pool of blood when police were called to the house, which Sinclair shared with her husband and 10 year old twin sons, at around 10pm on Saturday night.

Matthew Brearley, human resources director at Vodafone UK, said "Sally will be deeply missed by her colleagues here at Vodafone. Our sympathy goes out to Sally's family and friends."
