Storage professional services provider Orchesys has appointed Rob Stirling as its country manager for Australia.

"It's a natural progression for Orchesys to replicate our existing successful business model into countries with such advanced storage infrastructure as Australia, and very exciting to be doing business there, said CEO and founder Puneet Pandit.

"We are delighted that Rob Stirling has joined us and will be launching our engineering, consulting and managed services in support of key storage vendors in the region."

According to Stirling, Orchesys already has staff at a few large banking sites in Australia.

Stirling has previously provided consulting services to various storage vendors including CommVault, Veritas and Legato, and was a founding director of the Storage Network Industry Association (SNIA) in Australia and New Zealand.
