Google Street View cars caught snooping on school grounds E-mail

One thing that Wesley and Caulfield have in common is that the school buildings are reached via relatively long driveways.

We asked Google who was taking the photographs, what equipment they were using, and who was processing the images, but the spokesperson declined to comment.

Google's official position is "Our policy is only to provide imagery from public roads. If there are occasions where Street View inadvertently contains imagery from private roads, anyone can flag this and we'll act quickly to remove it."

Let's hope that the contractors still driving the Google branded cars that take the photos have been given even stricter instructions about keeping off private property.
