China's Bejing Olympics webcaster goes with Adobe Flash E-mail

"Thanks to Adobe technologies, including Adobe Flash and Adobe Flex, CCTV.com's Olympic Network TV Station will bring the drama and excitement of the games to the Web."

So when is the IOC going to get with the program and offer a single 'clean feed' of Olympic coverage via the web so that sports fans can watch their favourite events without having to deal with the vagaries of local TV scheduling or the blathering of jingoistic commentators?

You'd need multiple language options to deal with the results and statistics, and there's the harder question of how it would all be funded, but the current fragmentation is just as ridiculous as it is for the other forms of content that copyright owners try to keep locked up on a national or regional basis.
