Page 2 of 2 The HTC Touch Diamond is now available, and if you go to Telstra’s T-Life stores in Sydney or Melbourne, you can try it out before plonking down your hard earned cash to buy one, to see what you think for yourself. This particular model is “exclusive” to Telstra and comes with a Telstra logo on the back and one on the HTC’s finger controlled slide menu, through which users access the usual coterie of Telstra services, from Mobile Foxtel to BigPond TV through to Yellow Sensis services. Costing $80 per month over 24 months, if you’re a Windows Mobile fan, the HTC Touch Diamond is most definitely worthy of consideration, bringing iPhone-esque bling to the Windows Mobile platform. But if graphical bling ain’t your thing, and you’re quite used to the standard Windows Mobile interface and a physical keyboard, something like the i-mate Ultimate 9502 might be more your style, also a Telstra “exclusive”. Also coming later in the year is the HTC Touch Pro, which looks like it will combine the features of a device like the i-mate Ultimate 9502 and the HTC Touch Diamond. So... we’ll leave this “first look” of the HTC Touch Diamond here for now, and come back to you in a few days with a more in-depth review, but it’s definitely in the running for the best Windows Mobile smartphone, yet. Visit HTC's Touch Diamond website for more information.
