Improved bounds checking is also the order of the day for QuickLook (only for Mac OS X 10.5.4 including Server), which was previously vulnerable to maliciously crafted Microsoft office files.

Those OS X versions are also the target for PHP 5.2.6, which addresses multiple issues including at least one that can lead to arbitrary code execution.

Rsync's handling of symbolic links has been improved so that they cannot be used to access files outside the module root.

Security Update 2008-005 can be obtained via Software Update or from Apple Downloads.
