As for Mac OS X 10.5.5, AppleInsider claims that the first developer build could be distributed as early as the end of this week and almost certainly by the middle of next week.

Little is known about what will be included in 10.5.5 at this stage, though AppleInsider speculates it may include support for new MacBook and MacBook Pro models expected before the end of the current quarter.

TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative lists 10 vulnerabilities in Apple software that have been disclosed to Apple but not to the public. All 10 are rated as being of high severity. The oldest dates back to December 2007, but most are between two and three months old.
