5 Best Practices for Smartphone Support
- Set Me Up; providing assistance with setting-up new Dell computers, transferring files or installing hardware and software for AUD$149. - Network Me; providing assistance with setting-up wireless networks and the devices connected to them, such as Dell laptops and Dell wireless printers, for AUD$169. Combined services include: - Set Me Up and Network Me; providing assistance setting-up Dell computers and creating a new home network for the special price of AUD$243.50. - Set Me Up and Show Me; providing assistance setting-up Dell computers and training for an hour on how to use them for the special price of AUD$223.50. So what will happen in the future? During a phone conference to announce the service, Dell’s Evan Williams explained that Dell was very happy with their Officeworks partnership to bring Dell computers to the retail market, would be bringing out other “consumer electronics” offerings later in the year, and was very focused on the retail space. William said that Dell’s product range would continue to evolve, as would the partnership with gizmo, but noted that there were no plans to add additional retail partners beyond Officeworks at this point in time. gizmo CEO Brett Chenoweth explained that up to 30% of its existing customers wanted to know about additional services to help them make the most of their PCs, in addition to getting help in fixing whatever computer issues they had. In response to a journalist question, Chenoweth said “We think the price point is about right, the utility you get when you get it right from the start. The headache and on-cost of things not being set up properly is a much larger number than the price points we’ve put out today.” More questions and answers about the Dell and gizmo partnership on page 3. |
