Lightroom 2 costs $US299/$A539, with upgrades at $US99/$A179. (What's that exchange rate again?)

Adobe has also released an update for its Camera Raw plug-in (adding support for the Olympus E 420 and E 520 cameras) and the DNG Converter (which converts raw files into the Digital Negative format). More than 190 camera models are now supported.

In related news, Apple has released an update for Aperture, its Lightroom competitor. Aperture 2.1.1 "supports general compatibility issues, improves overall stability, and addresses a number of other minor issues."
