It's all very well saying "To be absolutely clear, the illegal distribution and use of Apple's operating system is not something we encourage or endorse at RSOL PC", but how can you test the ability of a system to run Mac OS X without actually running it, or having someone run it for you?

What is it with Florida and supposedly Mac OS X compatible hardware? Both RSOL and Psystar are based there, RSOL in North Lauderdale and Psystar in Miami.

Earlier this month, Apple launched a suit against Psystar, alleging copyright, trademark and trade dress infringement, trademark dilution, breach of contract, and unfair competition.

Subsequently, Open Tech announced a pair of computers with an "easy Do-it-yourself kit" for installing Mac OS X.

Is RSOL's position mere sophistry? Share your opinion with fellow readers in our forum.
