Sony E3 Keynote synopsis
No PlayStation Home
Little Big Planet release date, Resistance 2,God of War III teaser, Killzone 2, BioShock, DC Universe Online
PlayStation Network gets some love in the form of cut down versions of big games and much more content.
256 Player online Massive Action Game
PSP/PS3 on demand movie and TV download service
More party game love, now increasingly on PS3
80GB PS3 replaces the 40GB SKU

Originality is difficult to judge as Sony and Microsoft tread a similar path, but with a 256 player online ambitious title, the promise of PlayStation home not far away and the further integration of PS3 with PSP, Sony gets the nod. 7/10

Smarts, Sony is still talking the long term viability of the PS3 platform, still saying great things are to come and that owners will soon be proud of their purchase.  The difference from this time last year, is that there is beginning to be the content to back up the rhetoric. 7/10

In the Wow factor, it is hard to go past a 256 player game, add to this the extended PS3 PSP integration with on demand download and for a mostly yawn filled keynote series of talks, Sony hits the tape in a photo finish. 7/10

Sony scores 21/30 – Basically mirroring the Microsoft presentation in my book. I am sure iTWire readers will have their own version and opinions on the directions each company is taking.  Even fellow iTWire writers have different takes on the event - Hi Alex.

Below is an E3 video demonstration of the upcoming PlayStation Home now including game themed locals.
