Other changes in Firefox 3.0.1 include stability fixes, correction of a bug preventing the phishing and malware database from updating on first launch,  and missing content when printing a selected region in the middle of a page.

Over 28 million copies of Firefox 3 were downloaded directly from Mozilla's mirror network during the two weeks after its release. Net Applications' Market Share reports that Firefox 3's web share is close to 6 percent, with all versions running at 19 percent.

Internet Explorer's share continues to decline, and is currently 73 percent. The only other browser with at least one percent web share is Apple's Safari, with just over six percent according to Net Applications.
