eBay members ask Australia Post: are Money Orders safe? E-mail

The letter from the eBay rebels to Australia Post continues:

“I would be grateful if Australia Post could reassure me that eBay's assertions are incorrect and that Money Order is a safe transaction method.

“I believe that eBay’s assertions are damaging to the perception of businesses and consumers like myself who have otherwise believed that Australia Post Money Orders are safe.”

The letter ends with the usual closing formalities, and the rebel eBay members now patiently await Australia Post’s response.

Before closing, iTWire has also received one letter defending eBay and PayPal, and the comments system of stories on the continuing eBay saga has seen a few comments from users who likewise seek to defend eBay and PayPal.

Among other things the general thrust of the defenders is that eBay and PayPal are at least generally safe and the complaints seen thus far are little more than a small band of aggrieved members that should stop causing trouble and should instead discuss the issue peacefully.

Well, no-one ever complains when things are going well, except to complain that things could be even better. eBay's defenders, but not eBay itself, are making their feelings known in the comments section of relevant articles and are engaging in robust debates with the aggreived eBay members.

What is being published is information that has been forwarded to iTWire and is being sent in a formal manner to Australian Banks, Australia Post, the ACCC and Members of Parliament, and/or are interesting comments being left in other forums concerning eBay, the source of which is clearly marked.

eBay or any of its defenders are welcome at any time to respond to any article in our comments section, or can send us any formal media statements by email, which will most assuredly be considered for publication, if not published outright.

So... the eBay saga continues, with no end in sight. What will it take to put things right?
