Page 2 of 2 Now, at last. In fact, at long, long, last. AVG appears to have responded to the concerns and fixed the problem. In a posting to the Australian based Whirlpool forums the Managing Director of AVG Australia, has confirmed that the latest update being rolled gets things back to normal. "I am letting you know that the latest update for AVG Free edition" Peter Cameron says in the forum posting "has addressed and rectified the issue" although it should be noted that this applies to the free version only for now. A fix for the commercial version is to be issued today. Don't expect things to change overnight though, as AVG admits it takes several days for a roll out to reach all customers. "We are totally committed to providing maximum protection for our users and for the Internet eco-system as a whole without causing unnecessary disruption" Cameron concludes.
