Just looking at the top five list alone, Orange accounts for 63,339 spams per day out of a total of 79,749 on the list. Or put another way, if you use the top five list as your metric then Orange users get almost 80 percent of the spam within it.

So who are the most spammed individuals in the UK? Unfortunately, ClearMyMail is not actually naming names. At least not all of them. Instead it has probably wisely chosen to publish the spam statistics of those users instead.

The Top 5 most spammed individuals in the UK had the following amount of email blocked, on average, by ClearMyMail every day:

  1. 44,001 (Orange ISP)
  2. 13,578 (Orange ISP)
  3. 12,428 (Private domain using 123-reg/GX Networks)
  4. 5,760  (Orange ISP)
  5. 3,982  (Private domain using 123-reg/GX Networks)

One person who has stepped forward and agreed to be named is Colin Wells, a bus company workshop foreman and holder of the not at all coveted title of the UK's most spammed man. He reckons that it was taking at least 2 hours a day to delete spam messages from his mailbox. I am surprised he worked that quickly, considering he gets 16 million such messages a year.

Read on to find out what the UK's most spammed man, Colin wells, has to say about all of this...
