Crack that whip, LEGO Indy is on our screens, with all the charm that Travellers Tales brought to the LEGO Star Wars series.  They are all here, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom and Last Crusade.  All made from LEGO and with only some frustration to be had.

LucasArts and developer Travellers Tales know how to weave a good game together.  They have found much success previously melding the pop culture icons of LEGO building bricks and the Star Wars universe, now they turn their painted on eyes to the Indiana Jones franchise.

Specifically avoiding the latest incarnation and focusing on the original loose trilogy of adventure movies, LIJ:TOA presents a story mode as the three separate movies, with multiple levels each consisting of a number of scenes.

Topping and tailing each level are the now famous LEGO cut scenes, where we glimpse familiar movie scenes done in that LEGO, mute character, irreverent way.  It is a highlight of the game, containing some definite laugh out loud moments.

As we mentioned in the preview , LIJ:TOA provides similar game play to the previous Star Wars games, it has been twisted and refined a little more in this offering, providing an ideal family game.  Parents can drop in and help younger players through tricky levels at anytime, replacing the in game AI partner.
