TV shows reach Australian iTunes Store at last! E-mail

McLeod's Daughters (another Nine series) is still available with Windows-only DRM via NineMSN $A1.95, compared with $A2.99 through the iTunes Store in a form that can be played on Mac OS X or Windows, as well as iPods, iPhones and Apple TVs.

Content from Australia's Ten Network is conspicuously absent, but we suspect that if Nine succeeds in selling shows on iTunes that it's previously been giving away, Ten will be tempted to follow suit.

Ten currently offers free downloads of the most recent episodes of series including Bondi Rescue, Good News Week, How to Look Good Naked, and perennial favourite Neighbours (the series that took Kylie Minogue to fame and fortune).

The iTunes Store started selling TV shows in the US in 2005. Shows are also available in Canada, France, Germany and the UK.

Now that TV has reached the Australian iTunes Store, can movies be far away?
