VoIP tech co. Global IP Sound, opens Asian office E-mail

Global IP Sound, which claims to be the leading provider of embedded voice-processing solutions for the VoIP market, has opened a sales office in Hong Kong and appointed John Fargis as general manager. He will "work to bring GIPS' SoundWare solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and original design manufacturers (ODMs) in the Pacific region" and has been charged with hiring support engineers, marketing personnel and sales staff for the new location.
Companies using GIPS SoundWare products include Nortel Networks, Skype, WebEx, MSN, EarthLink, Marratech. According to Gary P Hermansen, president and CEO of Global IP Sound, "The strong relationships that we have already forged with many of the leading ISPs in the Asia-Pacific region have paved the way in building ties with hardware manufacturers in the region."
