Calvert covets Kafka - and gets him E-mail

Small business IT specialist Calvert Technologies has appointed industry veteran Peter Kafka to the newly created position of service coordinator.

"I've worked in the big corporate and education sectors most of my time in IT, so I was looking for something that was not so sterile," said Kafka.

"My role is to schedule technicians' jobs and to make sure everything's okay before they are invoiced."

Kafka was most recently campus network manager at Golden Grove Secondary School in Adelaide. His 25 year career also includes stints with organisations including Fujitsu, Safcol, and Baulderstone Hornibrook.

He even has a life outside work, in which he makes violins and contributes in a small way to South Australia's production of red wine.
