Cornered! is a blog devoted, most of the time anyway, to telecommunications: local and global issues, technology, people and trends from the perspective of someone who's been reporting, analysing and commenting on the industry since the dark ages (BC - before competition). Sometimes serious, sometimes flippant, sometimes frivolous. Controversial, analytical, informative, amusing, but never boring; a vehicle for examinations of important issues and observations on my encounters and experiences in an industry where polarised views and hyperbole are the norm.

“You blog suggests the material removed as a result of the legal letter included material about business matters. This is false. It is wrong. The only material requested to be removed was an offensive defamation of a personal nature. (And, by the way, the [law] firm is engaged by Sol and not Telstra as your blog suggests.)” In a posting on Wikipedia in response to my article, Wales says "[The Wikipedia entry on Trujillo] should be a good article. It should detail Mr. Trujillo's career in a neutral and responsible fashion. It should contain both accomplishments and appropriate mention of legitimate criticism.” I agree: the fact is that it did so in early April and it did not do so in late April and it did not do so two days ago when I wrote the initial article. But surprise surprise, "appropriate mention of legitimate criticism" is back! And what is there today is remarkably similar the material that disappeared in mid April! |
