The SMH article also speaks to some Authorised Apple resellers who realise they will need to lift their game if they hope to compete with Apple at its own game, with Ron Johnson of Apple quoted in the SMH saying both sides need to “adapt” and that an official Apple store simply creates a “bigger pie” from which all Apple resellers can benefit.

So, we should start expecting to see queues at the Apple store forming sometime in the next few days – if they haven’t started already!

The frenzy will likely only grow tomorrow as details of the 3G iPhone become widespread, whatever those details actually end up being. We’ll likely also discover whether or not Telstra and Three Mobile will join Vodafone and Optus in selling the iPhone in Australia.

I don’t know about you, but I’ll be up at 3am on Tuesday morning, Australian time, to read the live blogging streams from sites like Engadget, MacDailyNews and others to find out what Steve said at the WWDC.

Yes, I’ll watch the WWDC video later in the day when it goes up at the Apple site. But my ‘one more sleep’ will definitely happen very, very late, if at all.

Ah, the crazy things we do for the iPhone. Well, let’s hope as many of the rumours are as true as possible.

Remember Microsoft’s so-called “wow”?
