Page 3 of 3 Australia is supposed to have laws, from memory, that insist companies must allow phones to be unlocked free of charge – I know for a fact that Vodafone has such a facility at www.vodafone.com.au/unlock for Vodafone branded phones purchased in Australia today, while a friend on the Three Mobile network had his phone unlocked free of charge as well.
