Australia is supposed to have laws, from memory, that insist companies must allow phones to be unlocked free of charge – I know for a fact that Vodafone has such a facility at www.vodafone.com.au/unlock for Vodafone branded phones purchased in Australia today, while a friend on the Three Mobile network had his phone unlocked free of charge as well.

But even if my memory is hazy on these laws, that Vodafone website is real, and hackers have promised to unlock the 3G iPhone as quickly as possible, so in the end, it won’t really matter.

3 more sleeps, people. 3 more sleeps until the 3G iPhone is launched, and details are known. The only question then?

Will it launch on the 9th of June (10th of June for us Aussies)? Will we have to wait until later in June for sales to start, as many have predicted? And how much will it cost?

Questions, questions... answers soon!
