"We are delighted to welcome onboard China Mobile and the USA's National Communication System for GMI 2008," said Roger Ward, Office of the CTO, BT Group and president of the MSF.

"The support from China Mobile underlines the growing involvement of APAC organizations in NGN development."

According to GMI technical coordinator, Kristin Harris, vendors are encouraged to participate in the event by their customers.

Pervious GMI events have uncovered flaws in the implementation agreements as well as in specific implementations, allowing the group as well as individual participants to move forward towards NGN interoperability.
