Nintendo on a Wiiner wiith new Nintendo Channel? E-mail

When using the recommendation service, you’ll be invited to “enter your gender and age, rate the game, and recommend if you think it should be played alone or with friends. Results are then graphed and will be published on an ongoing basis to help you find games based on other people’s recommendations.”

Nintendo has created a special section on its website with information on all the Wii Channels now on offer, along with another special section with “detailed information on how to use the Nintendo Channel”. Because these are US based channels, some of the content listed “may vary from Australian content”.

Nintendo advise that you’ll need a broadband connection with either wireless or a Nintendo Ethernet adaptor plugged into your broadband connection to take part, and you’ll need the Internet Channel installed on your Wii to take advantage of some of the Nintendo Channel content on offer.

It's certainly an interesting addition to the online Wii content available, and while it won't convince anyone who doesn't already on a Wii to race out and buy one in the same way that seeing and playing Wii Sports or Wii Fit might, the more online content the merrier, clearly signalling plenty more to come.
