Page 2 of 2 No-one will argue that Intel has not taken the right path by making sure everything is letter perfect rather than rushing its product to market with problems. However, the delay will probably cause some problems in the marketplace. While the delay of the new Intel laptop platform should be of no particular concern to consumers, it may well cause some angst in the reseller channel. After all, any consumer who is in the market for a new laptop with Centrino inside, would probably be thinking very carefully right now about waiting for another three months or so. That does not bode well for current laptop sales - unless OEMs decide to sweeten the deals with heavy discounting. Anyone for a cut-price Centrino laptop?
