In what seems one of the most paranoid software marketing ploys of all time, Adobe has placed a two day limit on testing its next-gen Creative Suite except for existing users. Does the company really want new customers?

Adobe has released public betas of the versions of Dreamweaver (web design), Fireworks (web prototyping) and Soundbooth (audio editing) that will be going into the next release of its Creative Suite, but there is a catch: you only get 48 hours to try them out after first launching the programs unless you unlock them with an existing CS3 serial number.

"This early release software gives our loyal customers a taste of the radical workflow enhancements that we have in store, as we redefine how designers and developers collaborate to deliver stand-out digital experiences," said David Burkett, vice president of product management for Adobe Creative Suite.

So what are some of the key improvements in the new versions of the program?
