Telstra is now faced with paying the ACCC's costs in relation to the appeal and the original proceedings. Action brought by the ACCC against Telstra resulted in Federal Court injunctions in December 2007 that restrained Telstra from making certain representations about the coverage provided by its Next G 3G mobile network without explaining that coverage depends on the user's location, the handset, and whether an external antenna is attached. Telstra has been complying with this requirement by displaying notices to that effect at points of sale. |
