However, new applications are appearing for the iPhone daily that can make it a useful business tool as well as a far superior entertainment device (it is in the words of Jobs the best iPod ever). The former is really more like a business tool while the latter is predominantly a lifestyle device. However, it's a comparison that HTC itself continually makes and the company is certainly very profitable and doing well, selling more than 3 million Touch units in its first nine months on the market. That said, the 2G iPhone, available in just a few key markets, has outsold the 3G Touch by nearly 2 to 1. Windows Mobile 6.1 is a pretty powerful operating system for small devices. Perhaps someday soon, a handheld maker will bring out a Windows Mobile device that can match the iPhone for simplicity, elegance of design and functionality.
