The tech world’s most highly paid CEOs: Ellison leads the list E-mail

There are some CEOs missing, it seems.

There’s no sign here in the Top 12 of Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s CEO, or the CEOs of Google, Yahoo, Adobe, Symantec, AMD or others – but you can be certain they didn’t go home empty handed.

As the Fortune Apple blog notes, Forbes has a specific methodology to figure out who got paid what, something that’s important given Steve Jobs only takes home an ‘official’ US $1 per year.

Given that Forbes says he took home nearly $15 million dollars, it makes sense when you realise that says that it “compiled the list by calculating the overall compensation for the past year for executives, factoring in salary, cash bonuses, vested stock grants, stock gains and exercised stock options.”
